The other guts of the circuit

There are resistors and capacitors and diodes and such.  They serve various purposes, most importantly to provide a nice clean 12V to the IC555 timer chip so it doesn't fry.

I can't share the schematic with you because I got it out of a copyrighted book.  Sorry!
