It was a cold January day...
I had always wanted to make
an igloo. The idea gathered steam and something had to be done.
Students found instructions on the net, and we went outside. In the
freezing weather we couldn't pack the powder and for a moment, thought
that all was lost.
However, a previous storm left us
with a large plowed pile at the end of the parking lot. This snow
was a little dirty, but it was solid. The whole venture took
only 4 hours over 3 days. We used slush made from snow and water we carried
out, and the final product was strong enough to stand on.
